About the Spa

Spa Grace was created by owner Beth Ward in 2006 as a private practice known as Grace Healing Therapies located in Jonesborough. Since then, it has blossomed into a beautiful, 2300 SqFt foot full-service day spa located in Johnson City, TN at Boone's Creek.

We are a team of devoted, well-experienced and highly trained professionals, committed to bringing the best in products, hospitality, services and spa environment to the tri-cities. Several of our professionals served as massage therapists at The Spa at Grove Park Inn Resort for years, and all of our other spa professionals are experienced, have been vastly trained and are extremely attentive. Spa Grace is proud to offer world-class spa services in a soothing, serene environment. Our goal is to provide you with genuine southern hospitality and a FIVE STAR spa experience!

We strive to maintain our pledge to be a "Green Spa" supporting our health, environment, and earth. Our products at Spa Grace are Organic, Paraben-Free, Vegan Friendly, and come from sources who support our earth by "going green". We purchase products which are non-toxic and either biodegradable, recyclable or made from post-consumer recycled materials where possible. Created with the preservation of health, beauty and our earth in mind, Spa Grace offers an environment of wellness which enables you to become relaxed, renewed and replenished. Glowing candles, lush plants, tranquil colors, soft textures, fragrant aromas, and the calming flow of water fountains provide a divine sensory experience you won't soon forget!

OUR STAFF:

Elizabeth Ward, owner, graduated from the Center for massage and Natural Health in Asheville, NC. She has worked in both therapeutic and spa environments - including The Spa at the Grove Park Inn Resort, where she worked for almost 2 years, and has received advanced training and experience in hot stone therapy, reiki, aromatherapy massage, reflexology, neuromuscular therapy and myofascial release, hydro-therapy, pregnancy care, Hawaiian lomi lomi, and a host of various spa treatment therapies such as body wraps and skin care. Beth also teaches continuing education classes for Massage Therapists in Spa Therapies, Hydrotherapy, Hot Stones, and Aromatherapy massage. In her endeavor to keep bringing you the best in bodywork, she continues to stay up-to-date on the latest in the alternative health care and spa industries. She holds licenses to practice massage in North Carolina, Tennessee, is a NCBTMB (Board) Certified practitioner and is a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.

Becky Arnold, LMT, is a graduate of Center for Massage and Natural Health in Asheville, NC. She holds licenses to practice massage in both Tennessee and North Carolina, is a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, and is Board Certified. Becky has gained invaluable experience as a massage therapist and spa trainer while employed at The Spa at the Grove Park Inn Resort for the past three years. With advanced training in Hot Stones, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Shiatsu, Reiki and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi as well as a wide variety of skills in body wraps, spa treatments and hydrotherapy, Becky offers an integrative massage experience tailored to your individual needs. Her goal is to provide a space for healing and deep relaxation allowing the body to relieve stress, reduce tension and alleviate pain.

 

Sonia Serra, LMT, is a graduate of Reflections of Health School of Massage in Johnson City, TN and has been Board Certified since December 2006. She also attended ETSU for two years with an Environmental Health major, before deciding to pursue massage therapy. She has been interested in natural and organic health for many years, and is excited about getting to share this lifestyle with others through Spa Grace. Sonia hopes to bring the best quality service to her clients.

 

 

 

 

Hope Fields, EST, is a Tennessee native, and a graduate of Jenny Lea Academy of Cosmetology and Aesthetics in Johnson City, TN. June 2007. Before deciding to pursue Aesthetics as a profession, she attended East Tennessee State University for two years, majoring in Nursing in addition to being trained in the prescribed course of study in Aesthetics. Hope also holds certification in both Glycolic Peels and Microdermabrasion. She believes that showing and maintaining a healthy appearance outside can also promote a sense of well-being mentally. Regardless of whatever age one starts a regimen of good skin care, (and/or) adjacent with Esthetic treatment, it will be beneficial in years to come. Hope feels that striving for the utmost in service to the client, in order to achieve optimum results, is extremely important. Enthusiasm as well as encouragement are just two of many qualities she wishes to contribute to her profession at Spa Grace.

 


Jennifer Smith
, Nail Technician, recently re-located to this area from Virginia Beach , VA. She has been a licensed Nail Technician for 5 years, and has had advanced training and experience in natural nail care. Nails are one of her passions and she is very excited to be working in a "Green Spa".

 

 

 

Autumn Lewis, Office Manager, has worked in the Customer Service field for 9 years. Her number one priority is making the customer/client happy. She is very excited about working with such a great team and bringing the best in Customer/Client satisfaction to Spa Grace. She is currently pursuing a Business/Marketing degree at Northeast State University, which will she believes will help bring her knowledge of business to Spa Grace. She is also a single mother to her wonderful nine year old son.
